Well, we did it. We found our next home. And much to Seth's satisfaction, it is NOT an apartment. We were trying to keep the rent under $1000 a month, which put us in the two bedroom apartment market... but we really wanted a third bedroom for guests and to have the privacy of a house. Unfortunately, most of the houses in the neighborhood we were looking were $1600 - $1800. So, Seth looked on craigslist and found this one for $1200, and then negotiated with the owner to pay $1100, get the first month free and only sign a nine month lease. Wow, he's good.
It was built in the 1920's, has hardwood floors and archways. It is really quite charming, although having a bachelor with a dog living there it needs a good deep clean! We already met the neighbor who has lived there for 22 years. She has two dogs, Stormie and Zoomie who Sal ADORES!!! It will be the next best thing to having a dog of our own.
The house also has a really nice long driveway so Sal will have somewhere to ride his little tryke.
I think it will be perfect for us. Thank you, Jesus for providing once again.
