Cousins!

In August we headed south to California. First, we went to LA and spent a day with Erik going to Malibu and Venice Beach. This was Sal's first time touching the ocean. He did not seem too impressed, but I later realized he had a poopy diaper, so that was probably the real reason for his grumpiness!

The next day we drove to San Diego with Erik and Little Phil. We tried to time it to miss traffic, but... yeah right! Erik said that it could be a two and a half to a four and a half hour drive. I think it ended up closer to five... but hey, it is California, right? We did get to stop for In-n-Out burgers which made everything okay with Seth. It was so nice to see the rest of the family... we miss the Campbells being closer. It was too bad that Ian and Savannah (Sal's other cousins he hasn't met yet) weren't there, but it was good that Bekah and Jake had some time to themselves. We spent some time hanging at La Jolla, Coronado beach, and SeaWorld (Seth has since sworn that we're never going to an amusement park again. We'll see if he can hold out when Sal is old enough to be excited about Mickey...)
