All week we were pretty crazy busy with meals and kids and plans, etc... Seth got nice breaks from everything when he would go golfing, but I really appreciated Judy planning a "girls day out" with no kids on the last day of our trip. We went to Starbucks, rode the Coaster up the San Diego Coastline, stopping for a nice lunch at Old Town and then visiting Bekah's home beach in Encinitas. The moments on the beach in Encinitas were the most calming I can remember for a long time... I just stood there for a while, and then laid down on a sand dune and listened to the waves. I think I even fell asleep for a few minutes. If I close my eyes now I can picture it. It was perfect. Then we got ice cream cones. What a great day!
